Free Math Tutoring
in the East End
We are a grassroots non-profit offering free math tutoring and homework assistance for students in need.
We are on a mission
to close the achievement gap in math within underserved communities in Southampton.
We do this by pairing local high school students who excel in math and are part of Southampton’s Language immersive program one-on-one with students who require additional support in math.
How to Get Involved
Tutors
Our tutors are all based within the communities we serve. Tutors must be bilingual, currently on the advanced math track in high school, and have achieved As in all of their math classes. All tutors are vetted by the Math Mentors team to ensure they meet the above standards. Apply to become a tutor below.
Students
Math Mentors services are offered 100% free for students in need. We currently offer our services at the Children’s Museum of the East End.
To become a Math Mentors student, please submit an application below.
Institutional Partners
We are currently looking for like-minded partners who are interested in bringing Math Mentors to their schools, afterschool programs, museums, or general programming.
